Earth's polar shift

There are a few theories about what would happen in 2012, the truth is no one really knows. In this article we will discuss three of the most likely evens that could happen in 2012 and what you as an individual and the governments of the world can do to insure your survival.

Solar Storm

The first theory we are going to discuss is the solar flare. NASA has predicted that a solar flare will hit the earth in May 2012. This has happen before, but this time it will affect our life’s a lot more. In 1859 a solar storm destroyed telegraph systems in the U.S.A and Europe. Nothing major but, that was because we where not as depended on technology then as we are now. Today the world is powered by electricity, computers and satellites.

A powerful sun flare like the one in 1859, could hit the earth again in 2012. This sun flare will knock all our satellites out of the sky, cause airplanes and helicopters to crash, over load power grids until they burn out, destroy micro chips, and wipe out all the information on your hard drives, tapes and magnetic strips. If the 2012 storm is not as powerful as the 1859 storm, it will only have to power to knock out satellites.

To make things worse the earth’s magnetic field is getting weaker every year. In fact the earth’s magnetic field is up to 10 times weaker today then it was a 100years ago. This fact alone means that any solar storm today will be up to 10times more destructive then it was a 100 years ago. But why is the earth’s magnetic shield weakening? The earths magnetic field switches form north to south every 100thousand years or so. Just before the magnetic fields switch from north to south the earth’s magnetic shield becomes weaker. We are currently entering the period in which the earth’s magnetic shield will swap from north to south and until the day when the magnetic poles will swap our magnetic shield will weaken.

How will this affect you?

1859 storm strength: An 1859 storm in 2012 will destroy all computers and transformers world wide. All you savings, stocks, retirement fund, social security information and investments are stored and accessed by computers and all of it will be gone. Thousands will line up at banks to get their money but there will be no money to give. All the factories which uses computers and chips will come to a stand still, millions will lose there jobs world wide. We even use computer to built computers, so do not expect any quick fix.

Electricity grids will shut down, leaving the world in darkness. This means all meat; milk, fruit and vegetable products will go off much faster because there is no fridge’s to keep them cool. Even you local gas pumps use electricity to pump gas into your tank. Every thing that uses electricity at you place of employment will no longer work, leaving millions with out jobs. Electricity is also used to pump water into water towers to supply towns and cities with water. Even these pumps will shut down. All cars, airplanes and helicopters which are being used at the time that the 1859 storm hits will shut down. All cell phones, land lines, satellites, alarm systems and radios will burn out. You will not be able to phone, sms, text or e-mail anyone. This will take years to repair because even the factory that makes the parts that is needed to repair everything uses electricity. Even the mines which supply the raw materials to the factories use electricity.

In over view an 1859 storm will leave you unemployed, broke, hungry and with out water.

11 year cycle storm strength: This is a fact, there is a solar storm every 11years and there will be one again in 2012. Although most scientists believe it will be another 1859 storm, we can not proof that it will be, but another 1859 storm will happen again, it is just a matter of time. An average 11 year solar storm will destroy all the satellites we have in space. Although this will not affect the average person on the street as much, there are two big concerns. Weather and military satellites have kept us safe for years, and they will go down as well. Leaving us open to attack from nature and invading nations.

What can us as individuals do to protect ourselves from solar storms?

There is not much you can do, but we suggest that you build a survival kit, start a vegetable garden at home and purchase and install surge protectors for all your electrical devices. There are two types of survival kits. A stationary kit which is normal kept in a storage room under ground and a portable survival kit which is designed to carry around. We suggest that everyone should have a portable survival kit for every person in the household.

How do you make a portable survival kit?

1. First you need a back pack to pack all your supplies into.

2. Your back pack should contain one canned meat or fish product one canned or powered soya product, 250gr raw sealed rice packet, and 5 cans of fruit products. For the sake of space cans should be smaller then 430gr and bigger then a 100gr.  Your portable survival kit should also contain a sealed multivitamin and mineral container with a minimal of 30tablets.

3. Your portable survival kit should contain a box of matches or a liter and at least a 100gr of fire starters.

4. Your portable survival kit should also contain a small metal contain, which can be used to boil water.

5. Your portable survival kit should also contain a minimal of 500ml of fresh water and up to 4lt of fresh water depending on the size of your back pack.

6. Your portable survival kit should contain a compass and map. The map must clearly indicate the closes high point in your area and the closes natural source of water.

7. Your portable survival kit should contain at least a 10m long fishing line and 1 fishing hook. The fishing line can be used for fishing as well as building material. Your portable survival kit should contain at least a 1 meter long peace of rope or binding strap; this is for building shelters and making traps. Your portable survival kit should contain at least 2 large plastic bags. This is for water proofing.

8. Your portable survival kit should contain a can opener and a multi tool like a Swiss army knife.

9. Your portable survival kit should contain a small blanket or sleeping bag. Your portable survival kit should contain a par of gloves, for fishing and to protect you from the cold.

10. Your portable survival kit should contain a 175ml of anti septic, 0.5m long bandage, 1needle, thread, wound dressing, 10plasters, a container with 30pain pills, 50ml of 50spf or higher sun block and duck tape.

How do I store my portable survival kit?

Your portable survival kit should be kept close to an exit point on a high hook out of reach of children. The idea behind a portable survival kit is that it can be grabbed easily so that you can escape danger as fast as possible.

How do I upkeep my portable survival kit?

All your food items have an expire date on them as well as your medical supplies. We recommend that you replace all your food and medical supplies as least two months before they expire. You could use these items before the two months is over at home or you could donate it to local charities or churches. Five cans of food is not a lot but if a million people donate 5 cans each it will add up to a lot of food.

We also recommend that you replace your fresh water every mouth, to insure its quality. Your sleeping bag or blanket should be cleaned at least one a year.

Can my portable survival kit only be used during a solar storm?

No. Your portable survival kit can be used during any natural disaster, on camping trips, hacking trips, long road trips and during emergencies at home. A Portable survival kit could safe thousands of lives in hurricane areas and areas close to volcanoes like Hawaii and areas close to fault lines like Los Angeles and San Francisco.

What can our Governments do to protect us from solar storms?

Our Governments can protect us from solar storms by invest in research to develop satellite fortification methods and research in how we can build our own powerful electromagnetic shields.

Our Governments can protect us from solar storms by building back up military and weather satellites to replace the ones we have when they are destroyed by solar storms. Rather then waiting for years satellites can be replaced immediately with back up satellites stored under ground.

Our Governments can protect us from solar storms by forcing our electricity suppliers to place surge protects into every single transformer. If the electricity supply is cut before the transformer burns out, the transformer it self could be saved. It will be much easier and cheaper to replace surge protectors then the complete transformer.

Our Governments can protect us from solar storms by building an underground database. All financial companies like banks, stock exchange and insurance companies will have to upload their financial information to this database daily. All data lines and power lines leading to this database must be protected by 3 or more surge protectors. Why 3 or more surge protectors? Charge partials can jump one surge protector but loses energy when it does so, the more surge protectors it has to jump the more energy it loses.

Our Governments can protect us from solar storms by building underground Internet servers. All data lines and power lines leading to this server must be protected by 3 or more surge protectors. Why 3 or more surge protectors? Charge partials can jump one surge protector but loses energy when it does so, the more surge protectors it has to jump the more energy it loses. The government can rent parts of this server to private companies.

Our Governments can protect us from solar storms by building underground storage areas for computers and communication devices. This will enable the government to restock, the police, military and hospitals with computers and communication devices after they have been destroyed by a solar storm.

Our governments should start to store grains and rice in massive silos for times of need.

The second possible but less likely 2012 event we will discuss is climate change. There are two mayor events that may or may not occur in 2012 that could have a massive effect on the world climate. We do not know if it will happen in 2012 but sooner or later it will happen. It is only a matter of time.

Global weather

The first possibility is extreme global warming.

Global warming is already causing climate change all around the planet, but this is only the beginning. The sea currents around the world keeps the poles warm and the equator cool, by circling warm water from the equator to the poles and cold water from the poles to the equator. This however could end in 2012 or sometime later. The fact is it will end. As the poles melt the sea is covered with a layer of fresh water. Fresh water is less dense then sea water and remains on top. This top layer of fresh water does not circulate, resulting in extreme weather patens.

Is CO2 the only global warming factor?

No it is not. An example of this is the ozone layer. Many people believed that if we remove CFC’s from daily use the ozone layer will fix it self. They were wrong; CFC’s was not the only contributing factor, volcanic eruptions also harm the ozone layer.

In global warming’s case there is 3 main factors. They are CO2, Earths orbit and Earths axis.

Earths orbit is changed when Earth aligns with Saturn and Jupiter. These two giants have the combined power to move Earth away from the sun, resulting in Earth cooling down. At the moment we are moving closer to the sun, resulting in the Earth warming up.

Earths axis moves up and down between 45 degrees and 22 degrees. The closer Earth moves to 45 degree the colder it becomes. The close Earth moves to 22 degrees the warmer it becomes. At the moment we are round about the 23 degrees line moving towards the 22 degree line.

How will global warming affect you?

The north Western Europe and north eastern Asia will experience massive winter blazers. South Western Europe will experience massive heat waves during summer. Around the equator super hurricanes will form, and during dry seasons the massive Amazon River will dry up. South Africa on the other hand will experience wet summers and icy cold winters, which is not really bad news for a country that is mostly dry.

Why do we have massive winter blazers during winter?

There are a very large number of factors that influence global weather; that is why weather is so difficult to predict. The 3 main factors that influence global weather is the sun, our oceans and ice.

To understand why we have big blizzards during a time of global warming, we have to understand what happens when a large quantity of ice melts and enters our oceans. Fresh water is less dense then sea water and like oil flouts on water fresh water flouts on sea water. The sea currents feeds warm water to the poles and cold water to the equator keeping our weather mild, but because fresh water does not sink it does not circulate warm water from the equator to the poles.  The fresh water at the poles cools down during winter creating extreme cold weather, during summer it heats up creating big heat waves.

During a La Nina year the ocean creates a high pressure in the west of North America forcing the cold weather to Europe. That is why the UK had cold weather in 2009. During an El Nino year a low pressure is created on the North American west coast resulting in wet weather in California and heavy snow in the north eastern area of North America like in 2010.

The effects of global warming are increased after these extreme cold spells, because in the summer all the snow and ice melts, adding to the fresh water layer on the oceans.

Warmer temperatures also means that the air can absorb more water, and what goes up will also come down. This scientific fact alone will lead to more precipitation, in the form of rain and snow.

The sun will also give global warming a helping hand in 2012. Scientists have released that there is a major flood or hurricane every year in which we experience a solar storm. In 2012 we will experience our next solar storm.

How does global warming effect the Earth's crust?

As the ice sheets over the arctic region and the Antarctic region melts, it creates an in balance on the planets crust. The ice on the land masses in the north and in the south, weighed the land down for thousands of years, as the ice disappear the land becomes lighter and starts to rise. This upward moment creates earth quakes and more volcano activities around the planet. But where did all the weight of the ice go to? All the ice melts and flows to the oceans. The more ice melts, the more weight is placed on the ocean bed, pushing the land up and the ocean floor down. I know it sounds like science fiction, but think about it. We know tons of ice has melted over the last decade, but the sea is not any closer to your favored beach, where did the tons of water go to?

As global warming becomes stronger and more and more ice melts every year, the greater the possibility that Yellowstone will erupt, becomes. To make things worse, the faster the worlds ice sheets melt, the faster they will melt. Global warming is like a snow ball effect, it starts off slow but as time passes the bigger and faster it becomes.

How can I as an individual slow global warming down?

The first step is to replace all your normal lighting to energy saving lighting. Replace your vehicle with a Hybrid or even better an electrical vehicle and plant trees.

What can governments do?

Some science believes that we have already reached the tipping point and global warming can not be stopped. If this is the case; it will be better for governments to prepare for what is to come rather then to spend money and time on trying to stop global warming. This is not because we do not have the technology to stop global warming but because it mite already be too late to stop it.

North Western Europe and North eastern Asia.

Let’s kick off with food and food production. Green house farms needs to be created that can keep out the winter cold and snow and must be armed with artificial lighting. Massive grain and rice silos to store food to bridge short falls that mite occur ever now and then.

More energy will be needed during winter; this means more power plants needs to be built now before they are needed. Energy could also be saved by banning the old light bulb and replacing it with energy savers.

More equipment and stock will be needed to plow the roads they have at the moment, and new under ground road systems or above ground tunnels needs to be built. Why wait for all the roads to be plowed if you can stop the road from being covered in snow in the first place.

Since global warming will lead to a sea level rise of 60 meters it will also be advisable to invest in survival villages.

What is a survival village and how can governments start a survival village?

A survival village is a village designed for climate change, and ultimately the survival of its people.

Starting a survival village will cost billions and to be very honest most governments will not be able to afford it, but it could safe mankind.

First you need to choose the location; this village needs to be far above sea level and away from dams and rivers. This village needs to be supplied with water by means of tunnels and pipes. The village must also be far away from hot springs; active volcano’s and fault lines. Most big cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, London and many others are all build in danger areas. Danger area’s is areas that can be flooded, smashed by giant waves, flatten by earth quakes, destroyed by volcano’s, ripped apart by tornado’s and be flooded and blown away by hurricanes. A survival village does not need to be started from scratch but could be an existing town or city that is located at a safer location and only needs to be upgraded. There are thousands of towns all around the world that is located at safer locations. A small town or big city in the center of your country or state could be a perfect candidate.

Now that you have chosen your location; you need to build a transport hub. You need highway systems to connect your survival village with the rest of the country, an international size airport and railway or similar mass transport system as well as a detailed well thought out city plan for the future. The advantage of starting a new survival village is, that you can use modern know how from the start which gives your survival village an edge over other cities and towns that were started years ago.

Next you will need to build under ground servers, under ground data bases, under ground storage facilities and grain and rice storage silos.

Next you will need to relocate a military base, air force base, and a police training center, a state school, a state college and a state university and a state hospital and medial facility to the area. Why? By moving a massive amount of state personal into an area; you create business opportunities and thus employment opportunities.

Next you will have to offer factories and other industries a tax discount or similar stimulate to motivate them to built new or relocate old plants to the area. Because of the central location, safety factor and well built transport system, the added tax benefit will motivate many businesses to relocate to the area created thousands if not millions of jobs.

Next the government will have to build massive green house farms in the area. These farms on their own will created hundreds of job, not only for the people working on them but also for the people selling the food and transporting the food across the country. The government can later recover the money they spend on the farms by selling the food but also later by selling the farms off either as shares or as farming units. The area will also get a massive economic boost just from the people from which the farms where bought, because they now have extra money which they could invest, spend or to start new business with.

South Western Europe.

This area will also have to invest in green houses, but unlike the north it will not be to keep the cold and snow out, but the heat. Heat waves will destroy crops and kill many people. Green houses can keep the crops from drying out and air conditioning could keep people cool. Just like in the north more electricity will be needed but for the summer rather then the winter. Just like in the north silos with back up grains and rice could help to buy time during times of need.

India

India has a bit more time to plan then most, because their rivers will only dry up ones all the snow is melted on the Himalayas, but now is a good a time as any to start building dams. Dams will not just provide them will clean energy, but will also supply them with water when the snow in the mountains are gone.

Brazil

Brazil will experience very dry periods if the ocean currents should stop flowing. So dry that the rain forest will start to die and the mighty Amazon River will dry up. The rain forest accounts for 80percent of Brazil rain fall. Planting thousands of trees should be a number one priority. To motivate farmers they could help them to plant rubber trees and tropical fruit trees and teach them how to farm and make money from these trees. With out trees Brazil could become a new Sahara.

Although many will fight against damming the mighty Amazon River, the fact remains; people need water to survive and if the mighty Amazon River is not dammed people will die. Water also evaporate and can contribute to rain fall and dams can be a clean source of energy. Either way damming the mighty Amazon River could safe Brazil in the long run.

These areas is not the only areas in the world that will be affected by the ocean currents coming to a hold but there is far to many to name in one article.

The effect global warming has on volcanos and earth quakes Global warming vs Ice age

The last possible weather change event that may occur in 2012 is global cooling. What? How can there be global cooling when we all know the earth is heating up?

Yellowstone Super Volcano

The answer is Yellowstone. Yellowstone is a massive super volcano located in the center of North America. The volcano has erupted ones every 600 000 years thou out history and has last erupted 640 000years ago. In other words; Yellowstone is 40 000 years over due and could erupt in 2012.

What factors may lead to Yellowstone to erupt

One of the biggest factors today which affects earth quakes and volcanoes is global warming. How does global warming affect earth quakes and volcanoes? Click here for more info

What would happen if Yellowstone should erupt in 2012?

Central North America will be leveled by a storm of rock, ash and the strongest earth quake we have ever experienced. The earth quake will be felt right around the planet and will created massive super waves that will destroy islands and coast lines all around the planet.

This super earth quake will also lead to secondary earth quakes on all the fault lines all around the planet destroying all the towns and cities that are located close by. These secondary quakes will also happen under the sea creating more super waves and more destruction to the planets islands and coastlines.

After the earth quakes a huge ball of gas and ash will block out the sun, resulting in a global winter that could last up to a maximum of 9 years. Destroying all unprotected crops, leaving all life with very little food.

After the global winter has passed, a massive amount of fresh water will enter the oceans with in a short period of time brining the ocean currents to a hold and unleashing the full fiery of global warming.

Life will never be the same again.

Tsunami

Tsunamis are massive fast moving waves which are normally created by under sea earth quakes. Tsunamis can be very distractive and can affect several places on earth at the same time. We already know that a Yellowstone eruption could set off earth quakes under sea and that global warming is leading to more seismic activities all around the planet, but there is one active volcano which could be responsible for the biggest Tsunami we have ever seen on his own.

Cumbre Vieja, a volcano located on La Palma, (One of the Canary Islands) will probably cause a massive Tsunami when it erupts. Cumbre Vieja has erupted several times over the last few hundred years. The next eruption however will be different. Over years of seismic activity the western part of the island have become unstable and will drop into the ocean if Cumbre Vieja erupts again. This mega ton piece of rock will created a massive Tsunami (1041ft high and 4.5miles broad) bigger the anything we have seen before.

It will destroy large parts of New York, Washington and Boston. Smaller waves will also impact western Africa, southern England and the Caribbean islands.

In Conclusion

We know that the earth’s magnetic field is weaker today then it has been in a long time. That is a fact. We also know that there is a solar storm ever 11years, it’s a fact, we just do not know how strong the next one will be. We also know that there is a big flooding event in the same year as a solar storm, which means that a solar storm does influence our weather, we just do not know how.

We also know that Global warming is increasing volcanic and earth quake activity all around the planet, and we know that Global warming is real because all the ice around the planet is melting.

We know that Yellowstone is an active volcano and we know that like all active volcanoes, sooner or later it will erupt. We just do not know when.

We also know that there will be more tsunamis, because there will always be earth quakes.

The possibility that all of it will happen in the same year? Probably not. We have one question thou, to which we have no answer. When one looks at all the subjects we have mentioned in this article, they all seem to be connected to each other in some way or another. This is the question, what is the possibility that just one of the above mentioned disasters could trigger all of them? Like a domino effect.
